My favorite slogan sticker says "learn to mingle - be bilingual". I believe languages does open doors to new experiences, people and cultures and if you have the travel bug you'll understand the satisfaction one can get when you are conversing with someone in another language. Even if it's just a simple 'thank you' 'how are you' 'good morning' or 'sorry' the expression on their faces when you feel that connection is priceless.
